Merry Christmas from Rising Above Ministries
Dear friends,
As I reflect back over 2024, I am amazed at all God has done through Rising Above. I can’t begin to tell you the impact your support of this ministry has had on the lives of families living with disabilities all around the world. Each week we hear from families whose lives have been blessed through the resources and community Rising Above provides for them. You are a part of each one of those stories.
A few days ago, Jon Alex and I had the opportunity to have coffee with three young moms who are very new on this journey. As we sat across the table from them, I saw myself 27 years ago as a young, frightened mom, wondering how different our life was going to look compared to the dreams my late husband, Jeff, and I had for our family. It was a joy and honor to get to encourage them and share the hope that I have found, even on the hard days. I look forward to meeting with them again soon.
As we look ahead to 2025, one of our main goals as a ministry is to reach families who are just beginning this journey. We have plans for accomplishing this goal on the local and global level. It is hard to describe the immense toll it takes on every member of your family when your child receives a diagnosis. Every aspect of your life is impacted and every member of the family is affected. If we can reach families in those first few years after a diagnosis, we can help change the entire trajectory of their story from one of isolation and despair to one of community and hope.

For a gift of $1200 or $100 a month, you can help translate one of our online resources into a new language.
A gift of $1800 or $150 a month sponsors 24 adults with disabilities to be able to attend our Spring Prom.
For a gift of $2400 or $200 a month, you can help us reach 12 families whose child has just received a diagnosis.
A gift of $3000 or $250 a month makes our App available for special-needs families around the world.
For a gift of $10,000, you can fund all of our online community groups for an entire year.
A gift of $20,000 funds ministry to special-needs families in other parts of the world.
A gift of $50,000 funds our By the Brook Weekend for Moms AND our Base Camp for Dads.
