Impact Story: Virtual VBS
This monthโs impact story is a little different. We wanted to share an amazing NEW way that we are able to reach families who are raising children with special needs.
This yearโs VBS was all new! We had families participate from all over the country!
As we started planning VBS this year, we knew it had to look different. In order to maintain the safety of our participants, we decided to do VBS Virtually and include a driving scavenger hunt!
We hosted the event June 7-9th here in Cookeville but were able to provide opportunities for our friends all across the country to participate online. The picture on the right is of Mrs. Chris waiting at a stopping point on the scavenger hunt. We had so much fun passing out games and materials to our friends with special needs and their siblings!
Our VBS included teaching videos, activity pages for all ages and abilities, worship songs, and a super fun origami activity!
We think the origami tutorials were a huge hit!
Our families were so excited for a fun week of activities for their children with special needs and siblings to participate in something together!
Because of your generosity, we are able to offer these kinds of things for our families!
We are grateful for so many donors and volunteers who make stories like this a reality every day. Your partnership makes it possible for us to continue to pursue our mission of bringing the love of God and hope in Christ to special-needs families in the Upper Cumberland, across the nation, and around the world.
