We have so enjoyed getting to work through these sessions together. As this study comes to a close, we would love to hear from you or your small group!

Here’s how this works.

We will post a new video and discussion board each Monday for 7 weeks. Watch the vintage video of Jeff or Becky discussing the current topic. Then, read the questions and post your point of view in the comment box below. Feel free to read the other’s comments and reply! The more conversation we can get going, the better this small group will be.

Thinking & Sinking

Sometimes when our world is turned upside down, the biggest battle is in our minds. As you go through struggles, learning how to protect your mind will be so important in winning the battle.

We need to lean on the truth of God’s word as our anchor in the storms we go through. Remind yourself of the promises of God. Recall scripture when it get really bad. Get in community.

These are some of the ways we can for protect our minds through these struggles.

God always shows up in ways that we least expect it.

Here at Rising Above, we want to provide community for you and for other special needs families. There are others who understand what you’re going through. Email us or comment below! We’d love to hear from you!

  1. Read Philippians 4:8. List the things this verse tells us to think about. How can we switch our mindset to think about these things in the middle of the storm?

  2. Read Matthew 6:25-34. What are strategies to help us stay focused on today and not worry about the future? Why is this critical for special needs parents?
