Surviving Life's Storms Session Five: May 11, 2020

We are on week Five of this journey! Thanks for joining us! We hope you’re hearing from God through this study and the storms you are facing.

Here’s how this works.

We will post a new video and discussion board eachMonday for 7 weeks. Watch the vintage video of Jeff or Becky discussing the current topic. Then, read the questions and post your point of view in the comment box below. Feel free to read the other’s comments and reply! The more conversation we can get going, the better this small group will be.

Drowning in Isolation

Early on our special needs journey, it was easier to deal with our depression and confusion and frustration if we isolated ourselves. We found ourselves beginning to withdraw into a cave.

If you’re not careful, isolation can kill you, spiritually and emotionally. As parents of children with special needs, we need to protect ourselves from that isolation.

Here at Rising Above, we want to provide community for you and for other special needs families. There are others who understand what you’re going through. Email us or comment below! We’d love to hear from you!

  1. Read Galatians 6:2. What are some specific ways we can share each other's burdens?

  2. When you were going through a difficult experience, how did the people in your life react? What did you learn from that experience and how will you use what you learned going forward?
