Flip Side Session SIX: April 3, 2020

We are almost finished with our FLIP SIDE study. Check out this video and answer some of the questions below! We are so grateful for you and pray you have been blessed during our time together!

Quick reminder of how this works.

We will post a new video and discussion board each day (MWF for two weeks). Watch the video of Becky discussing the current topic. Then, read the questions and post your point of view in the comment box below. Feel free to read the other’s comments and reply! The more conversation we can get going, the better this small group will be.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

- Teddy Roosevelt

One of the biggest obstacles in seeing the flip side is when we start the comparison game. When we look at what others have or what others get to do that we can't do, it can cause us to become discontent with our own lives. As it's been said by Teddy Roosevelt, "Comparison is the thief of joy." Isn't that so true? The less we compare our lives with someone else's, the more likely we are to be content with our own. Let's focus on making the most of the life we have been given and be grateful for each day!

Thank you for joining us as we work through some of these tough questions! As you work through the FLIP SIDE study, pencil in your answers on your paper. Then, share your answers in the comment section below!

Discuss this concept: When you are looking at social media, such as Facebook, you are comparing your everyday life to other people's "highlight reel".

Read Philippians 2:1-11. What do verses 3 and 4 tell us to do? How do these verses relate to our discussion on comparisons? What are the benefits of doing what verse 4 tells us? How can thinking of others in light of these verses help us keep a Godly perspective?
