Flip Side Session TWO: March 25, 2020

Today’s Session is titled “Giants or Grapes.” If you’ve not read Numbers 13, take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the story from that scripture. That will be the backdrop for our discussion today.

Quick reminder of how this will work.

We will post a new video and discussion board each day (MWF for two weeks). Watch the video of Becky discussing the current topic. Then, read the questions and post your point of view in the comment box below. Feel free to read the other’s comments and reply! The more conversation we can get going, the better this small group will be.

Giants or Grapes?

When you look at the things you come up against in life, do you see the blessings that God has for you on the other side? Or can you only see the things that are in your way? It’s so easy to see the bad things that might happen or how hard things may be that we end up missing things that could be a very FUN experience for your family.

As you work through the FLIP SIDE study, pencil in your answers on your paper. Then, share your answers in the comment section below!

In verse 31 the spies say, "We can't". Do you ever find yourself saying, "Our special needs family can't...", "I can't...", "My child with special needs can't..."?

Do you find yourself getting angry with others outside the special needs world when they don't respond to our children the way we wish they would? What can we do when that happens?

In verse 32, we see that the 10 spies spread a bad report full of exaggerations. Do we as special needs parents fall into that same trap? What is the result when we do? How does that affect those around us?

"Choose to have a positive perspective, the flip side, even in the hard situations that we face."
