Impact Story: Heroes' Ball 2019
Each year it brings us so much joy to host a celebration in honor of real-life heroes who live among us: individuals with special needs and their families.
This year’s event was held on March 29 and was hosted by our friends at Cookeville First Baptist Church. It is always such a delight to see families arrive, dressed up in anticipation of the theme or in their favorite outfits, ready to enjoy an evening together.
Together families walked the red carpet, cheered on and celebrated as the heroes they are.
This year included a sensory-friendly room, which maintained the full Heroes’ Ball experience, while featuring softer music and full lighting. This allowed all of our honored guests to enjoy an evening that was comfortable for them.
After a delicious meal and a stop at our in-house soda shop for a float, families joined together for a 1950’s sock hop like no other!
It is because of the generosity of corporate and individual donors, and the time given by our amazing volunteers, that we are able to create events like Heroes’ Ball. We are so very grateful for every individual and business who partnered with us to make this event possible.
